The Start To Our Birthday Weekend~

Today we went out and ordered our birthday cake and to look for some of our bithday supplies for our party. We had developmental therapy to day and meat Ms Tami at Fired Up to use a gift certificate that we got for our first birthday. Nothing like waiting to the last minute to use it before it expired. Actually we have tried to use it several times and either they were closed or something came up and we didn't get to go. Thank the Lord Tanya came to bring me some shoes for Mr Nate. When she got there she said oh this will make some good pictures, you did bring your camera right? I can not believe I walked out and didn't pick my camera up. I don't go out the door to get a coke or some hot chocolate with out taking my camera because you never know when you might need a camera. Tanya pulled out her camera that she caries in her purse and that is why we have these great pictures. Thanks Tan your the best. Now enjoy our trip to make a plate for daddy since his first one got broken.

Most days...

this is how the floor looks after a nap oh I mean no nap, when they have decided to party their nap away. Nate decided to start his day off like this today. Usually the little stinker in the crib to Nate's left is the one who starts it.My little man and his oh so sweet grin.

My Emma with a morning of not such crazy hair. Usually her hair is a mess of curls all over the place.
and the little stinker to the left of Nate...
We met Tammi (dt) at the mall for a therapy session of climbing and exploring. Alli saw a big girl go down backwards and thought she would give it a whirl.
Emma heading down the slide.

Nate trying out his balancing skills.

Alli was standing on top of the ambulance. This little play area is in the mall. It was donated by the hospital that I work for. We finished up with a "nak" of applesauce and ice cream.

Happy Thanksgiving

My precious Emma, I am so very thankful for the life of you. The silly smiles and the crazy curls you have. They are really crazy in the morning as you can see above. I am so thankful for your full of life spirit and the way you tell your brother and sister what to do as if you were the mommy. Your smile is infectious and so so sweet. We are so thankful you are ours.

Mr Nate, mommy's sweet boy! We are thankful for your life also, but we are thankful for your so so sweet personality, the way you pat the girls when they cry. I am thankful for the way you say "Mama and when I ask for more kisses you put your tiny finger by my lips and so gently give Mama more kisses." Daddy is thankful for your love of balls and the fact that you show very very strong signs of being left handed. Daddy has longed for a little boy that he could teach to love baseball as much as he does. We love you little man.

Miss Alli Cat! Oh my miss Diva where do I begin. We are very grateful to have one girlie girl.

We are thankful for your love of things and how you collect your toys and keep track of them all day. You melt down if your brother and sister touch anything you have collected. The way you have grown to love signing is amazing and shows us just how smart you are. I love the way you love your pony tail and cry when I come in and Emma has one and you don't. (Emma has to have one in or her hair is in her eyes.) We are also thankful that when you go to bed at night that you believe in sleeping for the long haul, except the little spell we had a few weeks ago where you didn't want to sleep. I love, love, love to hear you sucking on your passie when you are first going to sleep, when you wake up in the night and are trying to go back to sleep and when you are getting close to waking in the morning.

We are very thankful that you all know who is on the cross when you tell "Jesus night night" and make the sign of the cross every night before bed. We will continue to teach you about our Father and all the was sacrificed for your life. Most of all our precious angels we are thankful that God saw fit to give us the chance to show him that we would be the best Mamma and Daddy we could be.

We are thankful also for our wonderful family and friends, we love you all.

Below are some pictures of Miss Tammy our dt making hand painted turkey's. When all was done she gave you a bath since mamma still could not bend over the tub.

Trio showing progress

Nate asking Emma who is in the drive way? Oh it is Ms Tammy coming to play!
Tammy brought a baby and it's "milk." We never called the kids' bottle by bottle, we always said "milk," so they really didn't know what Tammy was talking about when she asked them "are you giving the baby her bottle?" When I said "can you give the baby some milk they knew what I was talking about. About a month ago they could not do this upon asking, they are doing so well, thanks to Ginger, Katie and Tammy. Thanks guys! Nate taking his turn at giving the baby some milk...
and more milk. He loved doing this it was so sweet...
Alli being the prissy girl she is wanted to be in the rocking chair to try. This was my rocking chair that my Papaw made for me when I was little.

Ms Tammy seeing the sassy side of Emma...
Maybe it is not so bad being in the bag, she did want in there...
Nate taking his turn in the bag but only if he can keep feeding the baby...
Alli, she wants in because the others are doing it but is never quite happy once she is there...

New Toy

See the little toy siting in the yard to the right? This is a water octopus that you hook up to the garden hose and it sprays water every where. Courtney bought this for us a while back in the winter so we got it out to see how things went. Lets just say that we will try again next summer when we are a bit bigger.
Alli of course did not like it at all...
Nate was OK with it but could take it or leave it...
Alli says this is just stupid!! Who thought this thing up that sprays water all in your face? I told her it must have been a boy! I missed a picture of Emma but she and Alli stand together on this one. Maybe next year they won't mind stuff touching them so much. We continue to work on this with our wonderful therapist trying to overcome the texture problems. We are very lucky to have great ot and dt.

Mrs Tammy came today armed with paint and paper and hoping mommy wouldn't care, little did she know mommy would have no say it was all up to Mame. Mommy worked and then met daddy in day surgery to be with grandma while she had back surgery. They made their first master piece and also made daddy father's day cards. They looked like they had a great time.

Friday with Tammy

Mrs. Tammy came today to play. She took us outside to play and see how we did on the grass. Well as you can see Emma not so sure as she sits with her legs in the air trying to get the grass off of her legs. She loved the beans in rice though.
Nate decided to venture off the blanket and discovered that he had forgotten why he was on the blanket in the first place, he doesn't like the grass. He also is sitting with his legs in the air trying to keep it from touching him. Alli was not sure about the grass but did not cry this time
Trying to get the kids use to different textures Tammy picked this "flower" and Emma tried to imitate Tammy smelling it.
This is Mrs Tammy with Emma, Nate and Alli.

New Food

I think I have this figured out with getting my pictures on my computer. I am so happy. Maybe now I can keep things more up to date. Yea!! I am going to try to back update a few things for my own journaling so if you would like to scroll down from time to time and see what did happen before I figured this crazy thing out please do.

Miss Ginger came today! Ginger is Alli's ot that comes to work with her on feeding. She has some aversions but is doing well. Ginger works with all of them pretty well on feeding. None of them use the penser grasp and none of them will drink out of a cup. Ginger has only been coming for 2weeks and we ate mostly table food at lunch and supper today and ......Alli drank her milk from a cup, mostly a open top cup but some from the siper. Emma did pretty good but of course Nate didn't want much to do with the cup. His cup is not on the tray because he gave it back to me. Miss Katie is Emma and Nate's ot. She also has been coming for a couple of weeks and works with all of them on more of the fine motor skills. Tammy will be the dt therapist and she starts tomorrow.
